Western Door Federal is looking to hire a Financial Analyst to support a DHA project in San Antonio, TX. 

Work is generally expected to be on-site in San Antonio, TX with the potential for hybrid or remote.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Funding Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of funding obligations and historical expenditures to detect anomalies, correct inappropriate outlays, and recommend fund reallocations.
  • Contract Performance Evaluation: Assess overall contract performance to gauge spending efficiency and effectiveness, providing actionable insights for overall contract execution improvement.
  • Financial Management Analysis: Conduct budget forecasting and financial modeling to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Resource Allocation Support: Provide analysis to organizational leadership on optimal resource allocation and identify institutional risks.
  • Project Support: Facilitate communication with multiple teams to ensure project requirements are understood from both functional and technical perspectives.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Contribute to program and task-related reports, briefings, justifications, and requests, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. Alternatively, 2-5 years of relevant experience with General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and/or Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS) along with contract oversight can be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Experience: Proven experience in financial analysis, contract management, or related fields, with a strong understanding of DoD financial systems and processes.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Attributes: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
