Are you an experienced Crane Operator looking for steady work on a large scale project? We are currently seeking experienced Crane Operators to join our team on the Teck Greenfield Project. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Operate cranes (up to 160T) to perform lifts in a safe and efficient manner

  • Fly and place concrete forms, rebar bundles, and concrete buckets with accuracy

  • Operates in crowded, fast-paced working environments, and exercises extreme caution with awareness of potential situational hazards to ensure site safety.

  • Interprets verbal and non-verbal communication (including hand signals) from operators, ground personnel and Labourers, and acts accordingly.

  • The ability to operate on adverse terrain, near other equipment and heavy trafficked areas

  • Adhere to all project and Ledcor policies, procedures, and PPE requirements

  • Conduct pre-operational inspections and daily equipment checks

Requirements:

  • Must possess a Journeyperson certification with a recognized provincial training authority

  • Experience of working on a construction project in an industrial setting

  • Proven experience operating rough terrain cranes up to 160T capacity
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing

  • Strong work ethic, good communication and ability to follow instructions

  • Solid understanding of rigging practices and load calculations

  • Ability to interpret lift plans and crane load charts

Work Conditions:

  • Work schedule 14 on, 7 off, 10 hours per day

  • Living out allowance provided

  • Work in all weather conditions

  • Weekly payment of wages

  • Extended health benefits provided by CLAC

  • Locals to Merrit and Kamloops will be given priority

    Compensation

    $54.11 per hour

    This is the applicable wage for this position.

    Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
