As we launch our new facility in Mesquite, Texas, we are looking for new talents to support our operations and contribute to the success of our new facility. The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating CNC punch and Laser machines (Salvagnini S4 and SL4) in order to manufacture sheet metal panels, floor parts and sealing sheets used in the assembly of custom air handling units (HVAC) which are mainly made out of galvanized, aluminum and stainless steel.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Insert key control instructions into the operating system of the machine to operate

  • Prepare, adjust, and operate CNC punch and laser machine in accordance with procedures, standards, and requisitions

  • Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools or adjust controls when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunction

  • Make machine adjustments to ensure product quality

  • Review program specifications or plans to determine and define machine operations and sequencing, finished part dimensions, or CNC sequences

  • Check accuracy of part dimensions using various gauge types

  • Program codes and parts

  • Check cooling systems

  • Examine electronic components for defects or verify the integrity of the laser beam cutting using a microscopes

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards

  • Perform tasks while respecting safety rules

  • Identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety

  • May be called upon to work on other equipment, depending on production needs

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or DVS.

Experience: Relevant experience with a CNC punch and/or punch and laser. Experience in HVAC is an asset.

Computer Skills: CNC Programming experience is an asset.

Communication: English required.
