Trouw Nutrition is seeking a Nutrition Director for our Okotoks, Alberta location.

About The Role:

The Nutrition Director leads the Production Development team to deliver new, innovative and profitable consumer products in the animal feed industry. 
 

Responsibilities: 

Nutrition and Formulation

• Translating research findings and practical experiences into the animal feed portfolio
• Monitoring feed formulations to meet quality performance and animal health standards
• Responsible for quality control, analysis and interpretation of trial data and preparations of final reports

Management

• Leads a team of technical experts and Product Managers to meet current and future business needs
• Ensures consistent attainment of production schedules at optimum productivity, quality and cost levels
• Manages and develops protocols, data and reports of all post-registration studies, as well as interactions with marketing to develop and leverage resulting data into sales
• Supports the development of training, marketing, and sales materials for Trouw Nutrition products.
• Provides support and expertise for poultry, swine, dairy and beef nutrition to the marketing, technical consulting and sales teams
• Facilitates knowledge transfer and technical support to the sales team

Skills and Expertise 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s, 6 – 8 years’ experience/Master’s, 4 – 6 years’ experience/Equivalent knowledge and experience relevant for role
• Tertiary qualifications in Aquaculture or similar to a Master’s level
• Sales experience to understand the product and its markets
• Commercial/Corporate experience
• Leadership experience and people management
