POSITION OVERVIEW
As a member of BDC’s Human Capital Management System (HCMS) team, the HR Data Specialist will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining the HR data management framework and processes within the organization. Aligned with the corporate vision and data architecture, the incumbent will also consolidate the HR data governance principles and their links with HR processes.
As such, your primary focus will be to work collaboratively with various departments and teams to ensure the successful implementation of the HR data framework and the adherence to the data governance principles and practices, to develop insightful dashboard and self-service capacity for multiple stakeholders, and to define the proper foundation for predictive human resources analysis.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Implement HR data management framework and processes compliant with BDC’s governance framework established by the Data Office.
Define, implement and maintain a HR data catalog.
Develop and implement data management strategies and governance to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.
Build and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and HR metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
Develop insightful dashboard and self-service practices for multiple stakeholders across the organization.
Ensure ingestion, organization, handling and preparation of data for stakeholders’ usage.
Support teams in extracting and manipulating data.
Establish and document HR data needs, advise and train in data interpretation and use.
Define the roadmap for building the foundation for predictive HR analysis.
Work closely with the Workday Functional Analysts and IT to establish data lineage/association rules and definitions.
Identify data risks and ensure the protection of personal information.
Represents the HR function in various committees relative to HR data.
Collaborate closely with Business, Risk, IT, Compliance and Infosec teams to integrate data governance initiatives seamlessly and promote a collaborative data governance culture.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in quantitative area.
5 to 7 years of relevant experience in data governance, data management, or data quality roles within the banking industry or a similar domain.
Demonstrated understanding of data governance principles, data management practices, and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify data governance challenges and develop effective solutions.
Familiarity with data management tools and technologies, metadata management, data lineage and data quality.
Knowledge of Workday HR System and its analytical capabilities.
Excellent communication, teamwork, coordination, and consensus building skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and promote data governance awareness throughout the organization.
Proficient in both written and spoken English and French to facilitate communication within a bilingual work environment.
