Your role at Dollar Tree:
As a Smart Team Lead at Dollar Tree, you’ll help build a strong foundation for day-to-day operational processes throughout your assigned location in partnership with the regional leadership team. This position is designed to put you on the fast track toward a future store manager role through hands-on training and development.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead a team of up to 4 customer service associates
Partner with District Manager to ensure operating procedures and processes are meeting G.O.L.D standards and assist with retraining associates as needed
Provide hands-on support during store remodels, refresh projects such as multi-price point conversion, and new store openings
Assist with staffing audits, store processes, and asset protection functions and provide input on operational efficiency and process compliance
Assist new store managers during peak seasonal periods throughout the year
Conduct daytime field visits (90% travel) to support store operations throughout the assigned area
Assist with various store and asset protection processes, and provide input on operational efficiency and process compliance (e.g., store office set up, maintaining clipboard or logbook, etc.)
Support in inventory preparation and door-to-shelf functions
Provide flexible coverage for daily operations at assigned stores, including store recovery, time off, leave of absence, and special projects
Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
Champion exceptional customer service and foster a positive, team-oriented environment
Protect and secure all company assets
Other duties as assigned by Regional Director

This role will position you for advancement within 12 months.
Your Skills and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics, etc.) is required
Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to travel to all assigned locations within assigned area is required
Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to work a flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays is required
Exceptional customer service, communication and problem-solving skills are required
Strong relationship management skills are a must
