The Caterpillar Oil & Gas marketing team is seeking a highly strategic and organized individual to take the global lead in developing and executing the marketing plan for our gas compression segment. Expertise in developing a marketing segment strategy and implementing campaign management will be central to this role. Caterpillar’s Oil and Gas division provides superior products and service solutions to make our customers more efficient and lower the total cost of ownership.  Globally, we deliver engineered oilfield products, equipment repair and field engineering services & solutions. The Role

As a Hybrid System Senior Design Lead, you will be responsible for supporting site-level simulations, designs, and projects. You will lead the team in product concept selection that meets customer and performance expectations. You will contribute to product quality, reliability, and performance deliverables associated with complex technical engineering systems. These systems could include, but are not limited to, variable frequency drives, E-Motor selection, switch gears, power management, genset selection, energy storage systems, variable fuel delivery systems, variable gaseous engines and support systems, diesel engines, transmissions, pumps, powertrain support systems, and integrated user interfaces supporting site-level performance.
 

Job Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop project scope to address business challenges and opportunities.

  • Overseeing project progress and costs; communicating status with stakeholders and participating functional areas; addressing and resolving problems.

  • Collaborate with development teams to drive critical customer requirements, develop validation plans based on risk priority numbers, and report or lead problem resolutions.

  • Lead and manage FMEA through test plan development and system/software validation activities.

Basic Requirements:

  • Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.

Top Candidates will have:

  • Design and integration experience through system modeling and correlation experience.

  • Hands-on experience with electrical/electronic control systems and wireless communications.

  • Background in mechanical powertrain components (engine and transmission).

Summary Pay Range:

$144,960.00 - $217,320.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
