The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Internal Senior Auditor looking to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector? At AgeCare, we are committed to creating a supportive environment for our employees and residents alike. We are seeking an Internal Senior Auditor to join our team.

Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting, the Internal Senior Auditor plays a key role in coordinating operational and financial compliance audit. The ideal candidate will ensure the timely delivery of Prepared by Client (PBC) requests and the efficient completion of audits.

What You Will Do

  • Monitor all ongoing operational and financial compliance audits.
  • Provide regular updates to the Senior Manager, on the progress of all on-going financial audits.
  • Ensure timely delivery of Prepared by Client (PCB) requests to auditors, including preparation & submission of working papers/schedules for year end audits.
  • Gather supporting documentation (payroll related) for auditor selected samples.
  • Assist with yearly balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring supporting schedules match underlying account balances.
  • Act as a primary point of contact between external auditors and internal teams.
  • Handle ad hoc projects as assigned by the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
  • 3 years experience in an audit firm.
  • Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or close to completion.
  • Foundational knowledge & experience using Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
  • Knowledge of Canadian Payroll.
  • Experience with payroll audit engagements is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
