The company looks for people who can grow, think, dream and create. Its culture thrives by embracing diversity and rewarding imagination. The brand seeks achievers, leaders and visionaries. At Nike, it’s about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly evolving game.
ICON.SH is Nike’s new in-house production studio in Greater China (GC Marketing). Combining world-class expertise with cutting-edge capabilities, we deliver premium, “China-right” creative content at speed and scale. More importantly, we are the guardians of Nike’s brand standards, ensuring every piece of work reflects the quality, innovation, and authenticity Nike is known for worldwide.
We seek an experienced Retoucher to join our Post-Production team in Shanghai. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and possess technical and creative expertise in high-volume image editing for digital commerce platforms. This individual should have excellent time management and communication skills and thrive in a collaborative team environment. A passion for photography and the ability to translate Nike's evolving visual aesthetic into our product display page (PDP) imagery through on-model and still-life retouching is essential. Excelling in a fast-paced studio environment, the candidate will play a crucial role in both creative and technical aspects. This role involves hands-on retouching and developing workflows for internal image editing best practices, offshore standardization, and SOP governance to ensure accuracy, consistency, and high-quality execution.
As Nike’s Retoucher, you will perform high-volume retouching on a wide range of product detail page imagery for our owned channels and marketplace partners, including on-figure, still-life, lifestyle, performance, footwear, soft goods, accessories, and hollow body product photography. You will utilize your skills to elevate and enhance PDP assets, incorporating beauty editing, color grading, color balancing, and product clean-up. You will maintain consistency and quality of all product assets and perform supplemental tasks such as cropping, quality control, and reviewing technical specifications. The candidate will utilize a standardized layer structure in accordance with department standards and meet established daily productivity targets. Your role will involve maintaining consistency, accuracy, and quality across all retouched images, ensuring they meet Nike’s brand standard and PDP’s creative vision. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality. Staying up to date with industry trends, tools, and technology to continually improve your skills and techniques will be essential to your success with this role, ensuring all content meets readiness targets and seasonal launches.
Under the leadership of the Post-Production Director with guidance from the Stills Manager and Senior Retoucher, you will contribute to a wide range of PDP retouching workflows. You will collaborate closely with the in-house post-production team, lead digital tech, producers and other creatives to intake and deliver best-in-class PDP assets. Additionally, you will collaborate with external teams, partner agencies, and production vendors to coordinate and execute post-production deliverables and digital outputs. When applicable, you will provide supervision and guidance to freelance retouchers, fostering a collaborative environment.
The position is subject to the standard working hours system. Based on business needs, the company will make adjustments and arrangements for the work shifts and rest days of this position, and will notify you in advance (for example, work shifts may be divided into day shifts and afternoon shifts, and rest days may be scheduled on days other than Saturdays and Sundays).
