Job Description​

Caveat:: 2 years of ICU experience preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate with a high drive for learning

Saint Luke’s Health System is seeking a Float Pool Nurse to join our team. You will have the opportunity to help improve hospital throughput and capacity while enhancing the patient experience by floating as needed based on staffing and patient care needs between departments that include, but are not limited to: the cardiac, cardiovascular, neuro, and medical trauma ICUs at out plaza location. This position will also float to your choice of 1 or more outlier medical ICU’s at the north, south, or east locations. Help ensure our vision to be, “The Best Place to Get Care. Shift Details:

Full Time

Night Shift 6:45pm-7:15am, 3 shifts per week

The Work:

  • Utilizes the nursing process.
  • Performs patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff
  • Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures
  • Maintains the highest level of certifications and education required for inpatient care in the bedside nursing role

Advanced Cardiac Life Support RQI - Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI), Basic Life Support RQI - Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI), Registered Nurse (MO) Multi-State - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS), Trauma Nurse Core Course – Healthstream - Healthstream

Associate Degree - Nursing
