Senior Financial Analyst – Hybrid

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial analysis, support and control to multiple business units within Curtiss-Wright Controls Defense Solutions.

​Salary Range:  $82,100 - $104,950 plus bonus opportunity

Your Challenge:

  • Ongoing communication and variance analysis for Business Unit Managers

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting on an as needed basis

  • Revenue forecasting as driven by project deliverables and costs based on percentage of completion, focusing on contracts eligible for over-time recognition

  • Month-end revenue recognition related closing activities with main focus on project related data analysis, journal entry recording and flux reporting

  • Monthly reporting on project related data reconciliation and submission

  • Monthly GL account reconciliations across multiple business units

  • Ongoing monitoring of project EAC data and preparation/analysis/review of EAC package (at least quarterly)

  • Aid in various internal/external audits including Sarbanes-Oxley self-assessment

  • Assist with modeling scenarios

  • Assist with reconciling data for corporate reporting including Power BI, project database, EAC workbooks

  • Prepare risk and opportunity templates and consolidate results for management

  • Prepare bids and buck sheets

  • Ensure all corporate submissions are completed on time; e.g. tax packages, supplemental etc.

  • Ad Hoc Reporting and Analysis

  • Aid in process improvement projects, as required

  • General accounting and finance tasks, as required

  • Backup and support for other members of the finance team

What you Bring:

  • A post secondary diploma/degree from a college or university in Accounting and/or Business

  • Audit experience with a large firm considered an asset

  • 5-7 years of related experience preferably in a manufacturing or high technology environment; or a combination

  • Professional Accounting Designation preferred

  • Thorough understanding of general accounting principles and practices

  • Must have superior Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written); with the ability to present relevant reports to senior management

  • Able to work effectively as part of a team, ability to work with cross-functional teams and to train staff to follow procedures and use system tools

  • Excellent analytical skills to collect data, understand significance, explain issues, recommend solutions, and take initiative

  • Excellent technical ability, including ability to work with integrated ERP systems, preferably SAP expertise

  • Ability to embrace change with enthusiasm for continuous improvement
