We are the part of Power Conversion within the Global Product Group (GPG) Grid & Power Quality Solutions (GPQS) in the Business Unit Grid Integration, Hitachi Energy.

Due to our dynamic growth, we are currently seeking a specialist for the position Inventory Planning & Forecasting Specialist to support our production site in Switzerland.

Our production sites in Turgi and Aargau (Switzerland), have a leading position in the development, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and service of high-power electronic converters.

In our Supply Chain Management (SCM) function we work as one team, fully integrated within the value chain.

Your role:

  • Tactical planning activities (Demand forecasting in coordination with Product Management team or Sales, Production leveling and capacity Management or Inventory Management at Material level)
  • Developing and executing a capacity and supply planning strategy
  • Establish and improve key performance metrics
  • Bringing an understanding of contemporary best practice in supply chain/planning management with an ability to coach and develop others
  • Creating forecasting models that integrate historical data and sales inputs for proactive long-term capacity planning and optimal resource allocation
  • Building and automating efficient and reliable data pipelines and dashboards related to Demand and Inventory Planning
  • Participate or lead end-to-end Supply Chain, Operations and Production improvement projects
  • Implementing or improving existing process

Your background:

  • Solid knowledge of standard end to end planning processes (Supply Chain certifications i.e. APICS/ASCM, are nice to have
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Willingness to travel, up to 25% (mainly to our Swiss production sites)
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and PowerBI
  • The ability to work in a complex matrix environment across Hitachi Energy global network, intercultural understanding and teamworking
  • A "Can Do" attitude with a collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills,
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
