Qualifications & Experience
 

Candidates for this position should have significant experience and a demonstrated track record of success leading Learning teams.  Candidates must have the proven ability to develop and lead a team of professionals who can interact across all levels and functions of the organization effectively.  Candidates must also bring to this position a proven ability to lead during a time of significant change, and an ability to establish credibility and influence other executives through both formal and informal leadership. 

Additional professional and personal requirements include:

  • At least 12 years’ experience in Learning, Training,  Development, and/or related functions in a GxP environment, experience in biopharmaceutical/life-sciences industries preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or related fields.  A master’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources Management or related fields is highly valued and preferred.

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning technologies.

  • Strategic agility - Strong and demonstrated strategic thinking capability with proven success & discipline to focus on execution of strategic decisions while balance conflicting priorities.

  • Process Effectiveness & Drive for Results - Ability to provide innovative ideas to optimize the function and generate new ideas or alternatives that create value including seeking new information and external insights.

  • Excellent communication skills, collaboration with the ability to engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels of the organization. 

  • Demonstrated strong ability to influence areas not under direct control to achieve objectives and effectively communicate challenging goals & objectives.

  • Proven leadership skills with ability to make and act on decisions while balancing speed, quality, and risk.

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and build strong relationships by being transparent, reliable, and delivering on commitments.

  • Experience of successfully working across different locations and countries.

  • Experienced in management of people and challenging self and others to continuously learn and improve.

  • A history of developing and achieving key metrics and scorecards

  • Successful track record of building, leading, and maintaining high-performing and highly motivated teams; regarded and well respected as a strong leader.

  • Competency in developing strategic plans, as well as directing tactical execution; strong project management skills.

  • Innovative and ability to pioneer the use of GenAI in the learning platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing the strategic vision for the Learning Management System (LMS) to support the company's learning and development objectives.

  • Leading the planning, execution, and evaluation of LMS initiatives to ensure alignment with business goals.

  • Managing vendor relationships for the enterprise learning function and overseeing adherence to BMS policies and industry standards.

  • Staying updated on industry trends and regulatory changes related to Learning Management System Operations

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the LMS and providing leadership to the LMS team.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address learning needs.

  • Establish metrics to assess the impact and effectiveness of learning programs and use data-driven insights to continuously optimize our approach.

  • Leading and managing LMS-related projects, ensuring successful project delivery within established timelines and budgets.

  • Promoting a Safety & Quality Culture and contributing to the organization's commitment to excellence in the pharmaceutical industry

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of learning professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

  • Demonstrate the Company’s values and behaviors.
