The Role

Silicon Labs is looking for Embedded Software Engineering in the French low power IOT software team. The first mission will be to join the newly created Zephyr global team in charge of driving full support of this RTOS on Silicon Labs portfolio.
 

Here is a brief job summary:

  • Strong technically, you’ll develop the company Zephyr platform components working and advising peers.
  • You’ll ensure the team stays at the cutting edge of embedded software development technics and processes and experts in their fields.
  • Accountable and responsible for your execution you’ll get to report and interface with the organization. Some travelling is expected to meet other company divisions or units, or key customers Often leads a cooperative effort among members of a project team
  • You’ll work with product team and project management teams to coordinate your priorities and load.
  • You’ll follow the Alliances and protocols standardization evolutions. You may represent the company at related Alliance bodies possibly leading technical committees.
  • Other duties as required.

Skill/Experience 

  • Minimum 3 years of SW design and engineering experience specifically on Zephyr RTOS.
  • Had design, implement, and debug IOT Embedded software.
  • Worked to improve testing infrastructure, validation process, and code reliability. 
  • Good C language knowledge as well as Python
  • Other than Zephyr RTOS environment knowledge is also expected (FreeRTOS, ThreadX)
  • Knowledge about BLE, Wi-Fi would make a difference 
  • Ability and desire to contribute new ideas, build consensus, and drive tasks to completion 
  • Experience in continuous integration and continuous testing processes (Jenkins) 
  • Fluent written and spoken English 
  • Knowledge about wireless digital, signal processing is counted as a plus  
  • Knowledge of C++/C# or RUST is counted as a plus 
  • Knowledge of Silicon Laboratories products or equivalent wireless SOC is also a plus  

Education requirements: 

Phd or Master level degree in Computer Science, Software, Embedded systems.
