Primary Function

The Operations Support Specialist I is responsible for assisting in the coordination of all functions related to processing and decisioning of loans and projects. Works with internal partners to determine eligibility based on Company/investor guidelines.

Principal Duties

  • Proficiently performs all aspects of Conditions Support and Closing Agent Approvals.
  • Manages multi-state project pipeline; coordinates same with internal partners and 3rd party vendors
  • Review and approve all settlement and title companies including wire instructions.

•   Ensures settlement documentation package meets compliance guides and correct as necessary for approval

•     Assists in the implementation of process improvement and quality control initiatives.

•     Resolve errors and provide front line staff with support

  • Manages key loans dates, provides status and outstanding conditions to applicable partners
  • Communicates timeline variances and file errors to applicable management lead(s)
  • Updates SharePoint with Closing Agents approved.
  • Reviews necessary documents required of loan files, including required legal documentation and supporting conditions for required standard compliance.
  • Attends regular system training updates, and Caliber, line of business or loan-type specific guideline trainings
  • This position is considered a non-loan originator position, this means participants may not engage in activities of a loan originator, including communicating directly with borrowers about credit qualification or loan terms, including pricing concessions or other transaction-specific terms or conditions
  • Performs Conditions Management for additions and deletions to database.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience Requirements  

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-4-year college degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements  

  • Knowledge of mortgage loan processing, compliance.
  • Agent approvals and closing guidelines.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and time manage.
  • Ability to work autonomously under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills including SharePoint
