We are currently hiring for 4 x Machines operators

JOB PURPOSE:

Perform evaluations on all types of construction equipment and other product lines in a safe manner with minimal supervisor.  This evaluation work requires advanced operating skills and advanced equipment evaluation capabilities.    

                                                                                   

JOB DUTIES:

  • Perform operational evaluations of major equipment systems
  • Evaluate performance characteristics, serviceability, and safety aspects of all equipment
  • Communicate through verbal and written reports with engineers, technical staff, visitors,
  • customers and other employees
  • Maintain field test sites, roadways, and drainage
  • Train new operators in operation and safety
  • Report near miss, incidents and accidents and provide analysis for
  • prevention
  • Become competent in machine guidance systems, payload or any other electronic systems within the machines
  • Present issues to the engineers from Product Group
  • Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow written and oral directions
  • Possess basic computer data entry and word processing
  • Safely and productively operate all lines of Heavy Construction Equipment
  • Minimum of 5 year’s experience in advanced earth moving concepts and equipment applications
  • Ability to interact in a positive and professional manner with internal and external customers
  • Advanced construction equipment operating skills, knowledge of field applications, ability to diagnose application problems, and the potential to deal successfully with new concepts and analytical requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the technical staff, visitors and customers
  • Ability to work night shifts and on weekends
  • Ability to travel 25%
  • Ability to work on costumer sites

Desired Qualifications:

  • Intermediate English and Spanish language skills
  • Able to set up and run machines with GPS, Accugrade, UTS, and Laser equipment

Mechanical/Machinery: Knowledge of machines and tools; ability to use knowledge of machinery or mechanical objects including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

• Cleans, lubricates and performs other routine maintenance work on machinery, equipment and tools.
• Demonstrates adherence to relevant safety standards and practices while using basic tools and machinery.
• Inspects and examines tools and machinery for damage or excessive wear using appropriate diagnostic methods and equipment.
• Uses and/or operates the various tools and machinery routinely used by that specific craft or trade.
• Provides accurate, timely information and required paperwork to supervisors regarding use/status of tools and machinery.

Standard Operating Procedures: Knowledge of established standard operating procedures (SOP); ability to design, implement and evaluate standard operating procedures affecting daily and strategic business operations to increase operational efficiency.
 

Level Basic Understanding:
• Compiles current research relevant to standard operating procedures.
• Explains usage of standard operating procedures in business operations.
• Describes main issues and considerations when using standard operating procedures.
• Identifies key features and functions of standard operating procedures.
