Job Description:

The Financial Regulatory Services division of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has an exciting opportunity for a Company Licensing Program Analyst. This position manages Uniform Certificate of Authority Application (UCAA) projects, utilizing comprehensive knowledge and understanding to evaluate and analyze information. This full-time hybrid position is based in Kansas City, MO in a positive and flexible environment. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Acts as business sponsor/advocate for UCAA. Develops procedures and best practices. Assess unusual circumstances and use analytical and problem-solving techniques to identify the cause. Resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways and suggest variations in approach. Devise solutions based on limited information and precedent and adapt existing approaches to resolve issues. Pursue opportunities to solve problems and take action while maintaining the ability to manage work.
  • Communicate and collaborate with senior internal and external partners, providing advice as appropriate, and adapting communication style for differing audiences. Enhance relationships and networks with senior internal/external partners who are not familiar with the subject matter.
  • Manages the development and maintenance of all Company Licensing documents and publications.
  • Provide staff support to facilitate information flow between regulators, providing technical consultation and opinion to NAIC members or interested parties, compiling and analyzing technical information, preparing and distributing materials.
  • Acts as business sponsor to develop and implement an electronic database for biographical affidavit process.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Microsoft Office Suite/365, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, JIRA

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required:

  • Typically has a Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of position related progressive professional, individual contributor experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge or experience of insurance company licenses or insurance compliance and regulation.
  • Knowledge or experience of insurance company statutory financial statements or the submission of such statements.

Travel:

Requires overnight, out-of-town travel a few times each year. Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as the organization determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Approximately 10% of the time.

Compensation:

$55,228- $65,000, commensurate with education and experience.
