About the Role
As the Senior Product Manager- Data Governance, you’ll will be leading transformative change in our organization. Your responsibilities include creating and maintaining common data structures across our products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and establishing a product asset repository. The governance strategy will streamline our innovations, deliver accelerated speed to market and evolve the buying process for customers. Additionally, you’ll foster collaboration among stakeholders to maintain linkages between products and data assets. Must be available to work onsite 2-3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining common data structures by establishing and enforcing data standards across all products, monitoring data quality, accuracy, and completeness, and collaborating with data stewards and owners to ensure consistency.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (IT, business units) to align data practices, maintain linkages between products and associated data assets, facilitate communication on data governance guidelines, and lead data governance committees to ensure evolving decision-making meets customer needs.

  • Creating and managing a centralized repository for product-related data assets by organizing and categorizing them for easy retrieval and usage and ensuring proper version control and access controls.

  • Identifying areas for process improvement and efficiency and driving initiatives to enhance data management practices.


Requirements

  • Have a minimum 5+ years of product management experience.

  • Have experience in data governance, integration, or similar roles.

  • Experience in partnering with and influencing diverse teams in multiple locations.

  • Experience being part of frequent product customer engagements that lead to positive outcomes.

  • Must have a Bachelors degree in a related field (e.g., Information Management)

  • Experience with SQL, dashboarding and\or technical background.

  • Must have familiarity with data governance tools and frameworks.

  • Able to demonstrate exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Be capable of motivating teams and holding them accountable to established rules, frameworks, and delivery standards.

  • In-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks preferred.
