Your New Role:
As a Sr. Staff Product Manager at CNN, you’ll be responsible for both the near-term prioritization and the long-term vision for interactive audio & video products and features at CNN.
This role is dedicated to the usability of the CMS tool the programming team uses to program & curate content for CNN end users. You will create and optimize CMS features that empower the programming team to effectively curate content for CNN Video (long form content and clips) & Audio specific use cases.
Your Role Accountabilities:
You’ll balance user needs and research, the business landscape, and the boundaries of our technical capabilities to assess product-market fit, bring new products to market, grow our team, and improve engagement, retention, and growth with CNN’s audience of 100M+ users.
You’ll work iteratively and cross-functionally with colleagues in product, engineering, design, user research, analytics, editorial, and marketing in order to build consensus around tradeoffs, define goals, plan roadmaps, and collectively shape the future of news.
Examples of initiatives include:
• Drafting & reusing of components
• Efficient search experience within CMS to streamline programming steps
• Create Asset (Image/video/series/film) manager in CMS that enables editing of asset metadata that will propagate across pages & platforms
• Allow CMS users to preview pages by auth type, location and more
• Ability to test headlines & keyarts for a single piece of content
• Optimize Audio's file management and metadata model for a range of file types including Promotional assets, Episodes, Art Work: Show, Episode, Social, etc
Qualifications & Experience
• Brainstorm with cross functional team effective and intuitive features in the CMS for content programming use cases
• Develop solutions to improving existing and create new VOD and Live video workflows
• Optimize programming workflows and help programming team to focus on what to program, not how to program
• Partner with design to conduct regular office hour & user training/testing sessions
• Maintain how-to video program guides
• Work with Audio PM to help develop Audio's strategic and tactical relationship between CMS tools and Audio-specific 3rd party Hosting and Distribution service providers
• Demonstrated track record of aligning product efforts around core strategies.
• Demonstrated experience defining and tracking key metrics across the user experience to power decision-making
• Ability to actively listen and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement
• 8+ years of demonstrated experience in product management or similar roles in a consumer-facing product environment
• Strong work ethic and integrity

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $125,300.00 - $232,700.00 salary per year.
