Strategy, Process & Quality Analyst

The Pfizer Digital, Global Information Security (GIS) team delivers three core capabilities for Pfizer – Intrusion Detection & Analysis, Threat Intelligence, and Digital Forensics and Insider Threat detection (DFIT). This is an exciting entry-level opportunity to be part of the Strategy, Process & Quality (SPQ) team and the broader Information Security and Awareness and Response team (ISAR). The role will be responsible for assisting in research initiatives into new capabilities and supporting the engineering of solutions to improve the services of the ISAR organization

Tasks

  • Assist in research initiatives into new capabilities and support the engineering of solutions to improve the services of the ISAR organization.

  • Develop knowledge and skills in the Purview Workstream for Compliance, Data Protection & Risk, and Data Governance, utilizing the Microsoft E5 capabilities.

  • Stay informed about advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and understand how these innovations can support the mission of the ISAR organization. Specifically, learn how AI can enhance and streamline investigation workflows.

  • Support the development of strategic solutions and assist in presenting approaches to address complex challenges.

  • Contribute to the design and execution of a comprehensive risk management process for the organization, including detailed risk assessments and proposed mitigation strategies.

  • Assist in the DFIT Mobile device strategy, and support the establishment of processes for the acquisition, processing, analysis, and review of mobile devices.

  • Utilize metrics in the XSOAR platform to assess the value for money of current forensic tools, determine their price per matter, evaluate cost-effectiveness and support decisions on reinvestment and resource allocation.

  • Assist in exploring opportunities to improve the delivery of Compliance collections, including the validation and delivery processes.

  • Support Operational excellence, including responsibility for exploring and capitalizing on opportunities to enhance the delivery of compliance investigations with a focus on validation and delivering processes. Develop knowledge on chat applications including WeChat, WhatsApp, Telegram, and Signal.

  • Support the relationship with Mobile Forensic vendors to enhance and develop the capability to conduct Forensic mobile investigations.

  • Assist in facilitating effective communication with Investigation leads, DFIT analysts, and customers. This includes providing updates on processes and capabilities, ensuring all stakeholders are well-informed and aligned with our operational strategies and objectives.

  • Support complex Digital Forensic projects working with key stakeholders.

  • Assist in managing Projects following Agile Methodology.

  • Assist in the collection, processing, and analysis of electronically stored information (ESI) obtained from network, cloud, and end-user digital sources in accordance with Forensic industry standards. Including chain of custody procedures and evidence handling.

  • Ability to document the actions taken during your analysis and have attention to detail.

  • Assist in providing written and verbal status updates to customers and support the generation of formal forensic analysis reports in a clear and concise manner.

  • Use of industry-standard digital forensic tools (such as EnCase, FTK, NUIX, Axiom, Oxygen, Cellebrite, X-Ways, SIFT Workstation, XRY).

  • Support the development of proactive mitigations that enable a defense-in-depth posture for the Pfizer environment.

  • Ability to support multiple concurrent investigations and projects with supervision and prioritize assigned tasks.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and the ability to manage expectations with key stakeholders and team members.

  • Ability to respond to investigative requests on short notice, which may require domestic and international travel, and working during extended hours, weekends, and holidays.

  • As part of a global team, there may be times that require working outside normal business hours to attend meetings, case activities, and complete projects.

  • Maintain forensic certifications and ability to provide expert testimony.

Qualifications

This is an entry level role which requires either:

  • Working knowledge related to digital forensics within Law Enforcement or within a corporate environment.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Forensics, Cyber Security, Computer Science or commensurate professional experience.

  • The role is based at the Pfizer Sandwich office in Kent, our flexible working policy applies.

  • Understanding of some industry standard digital forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, Oxygen, NUIX, Axiom, Cellebrite, X-Ways, SIFT Workstation, XRY.

  • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to write and verbally articulate industry terminology to interact at a technical level, management level and senior executive level.

  • Effective and efficient time and resource management.

  • Proficiently handle complex, large volume, and previously un-encountered situations and examinations

  • Must be able to research and apply appropriate technologies to different examinations.

  • Can develop strategies to improve efficiency and consistency of service delivery.

The role is based at the Pfizer Sandwich office in Kent in the United Kingdom but with opportunities for flexible working.

Desirable:

  • One or more of the following certifications: EnCE, CFCE, GCFE or GCFA is desirable.

  • Experience using physical, local, and remote acquisition tools across multiple OS systems.

  • Mobile device and memory forensic analysis experience would be beneficial.

  • Understanding of European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or European/Global Privacy laws.

  • Programming skills primarily in Python or EnScripts.
