Your role
The Scholarships Officer oversees the management and administration of RMIT Vietnam and benefactor funded scholarship programs; ensures transparent and ethical processes consistent with policy and guidelines; and prepares activity and progress reports.
The Scholarships Officer provides professional advice across RMIT Vietnam, and in particular to the Executive Director Student Services, on the development and administration of scholarship programs. The Coordinator will develop strong working relationships within RMIT Vietnam in particular within Academic Centres, Recruitment and Marketing, and Communications and Events to coordinate scholarship activity and communicate emerging needs and opportunities for scholarship support.
Report to Operations and Compliance Manager, Academic Registrar’s Group (ARG) Vietnam
Key Accountabilities
Coordinate RMIT Vietnam's scholarship programs including, but not limited to promotion, selection, awards and payments, and reporting. Ensure that these programs are in compliance with relevant RMIT policies and procedures ensuring that they meet the objectives as set by the University.
Support to coordinate the nomination, selection, and award of prizes including but not limited to the President's Award and awards recognising student leadership.
In general contact with the relevant stakeholders (Academic Schools, Recruitment and Marketing, Finance, and Communications and Events…) to communicate the scholarship promotion, selection, and payment processes operate efficiently and transparently following the standard guidance.
Follow up and manage to proceed with the termly general tasks listed.
Support Graduations and cross-funtion support for the team as per request.
Any other duties, or activities that may be required by the line manager and/ or Associate Registrar, Academic Registrar’s Group (ARG) Vietnam.
Key Selection Criteria
A relevant tertiary degree (e.g. business administration related).
At least 1 year of experience in a customer service or administrative position.
Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret a wide range of information, solve problems and provide advice on the development of effective solutions.
Ability to undertake and manage multiple tasks.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to recognise customer needs and appropriate service expectations and deliverables.
Proven ability to show strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing information, written communications.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

English Proficiency
English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS General 5.5 (or equivalent Linguaskill 150).
