As a Residential Home Coordinator, you'll collaborate with the Program Coordinator to ensure the highest quality of care for our clients. Your responsibilities will include supervising team members, creating schedules, coordinating emergency responses, implementing individualized Support Plans, and managing day-to-day home operations. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, nurturing atmosphere while adhering to Department of Mental Health certification principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee two residential locations, ensuring a safe, warm, and conflict-free atmosphere for clients
  • Supervise and support at least four team members, providing leadership and guidance
  • Create and manage staff schedules, coordinating coverage for open shifts as needed
  • Implement and monitor individualized Support Plans (ISPs) for clients
  • Conduct staff training on clients' medical needs, preferences, and medication compliance
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including daily notes, goals, and health tracking
  • Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with licensing and certification requirements
  • Collaborate with the Program Coordinator on quality management initiatives
  • Participate in tiered support meetings and Individual Support Plan meetings
  • Manage client finances and accompany clients to medical appointments as needed
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide 24/7 on-call support

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One year of experience working in the field of intellectual/developmental disabilities OR successful completion of training in the Missouri Quality Outcomes approved by the Division of Development Disabilities regional office

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in basic mathematical operations and problem-solving
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor with a commitment to person-centered care
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules and respond to on-call situations
  • Must successfully complete a background check, including criminal record and abuse/neglect screening
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
