Your Role:

As a Sr. Manager of People Operations at Apollo.io, you will shape the employee experience and build scalable, efficient processes that support company growth. This team lives our values including being customer obsessed and we are looking for someone who is motivated to delight our customers across all business units. This is a unique opportunity to lead a global dynamic team and ensure operational excellence across the entire employee lifecycle. You’ll drive Apollo.io’s People Operations strategy, optimizing HR systems and enhancing the experience for our global workforce.

What You’ll Do:

  • Operational Excellence & Process Improvement: Oversee People Operations, streamlining workflows to reduce manual effort and ensure efficiency. Continuously review and enhance processes to support scale and future growth.
  • HRIS & Systems Management: Manage HR systems (e.g., Darwinbox, Greenhouse, Rippling, Deel) to ensure smooth onboarding, payroll, benefits, and compliance.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Design and maintain a seamless employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring a high-quality employee experience.
  • Global Expansion & Compliance: Partner with Legal and Finance to manage international operations and ensure compliance with local regulations. Stay on top of U.S. and global labor laws, owning processes like background checks and employment contracts.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with IT, Recruiting, Finance, and Legal to align People Ops with Apollo.io’s growth and strategic goals.
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 10 People Operations and Recruiting Coordinators, fostering a high-performance culture and providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Metrics & KPIs: Track and improve key People Ops metrics, including ticket response times, payroll accuracy, and overall HR efficiency.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with key vendors (payroll, benefits, compliance providers) to ensure top-quality service for employees.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in fast-growing startups or high-performing, fast-growing larger organizations.
  • Leadership & Team Management: 2+ years of experience leading and mentoring a team of 5+ people, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Proven track record of building HR processes in fast-paced, scaling environments, with global operations experience.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with HR systems like Darwinbox, Greenhouse, Rippling, Deel, and capable of implementing tech-driven improvements.
  • Compliance Expertise: Strong understanding of U.S. labor laws and global regulations, especially in regions like Colombia, the Philippines, Poland, and India.
  • Cross-Functional Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with departments like Finance, Legal, and IT to ensure seamless People Ops processes.
  • Strong Communication: Clear, concise communication skills for explaining HR policies and processes, both written and verbal.
  • Results-Driven: Proven ability to meet and improve operational KPIs, driving continuous process optimization.
