Department Overview

IP Video is the creator of the HALO Smart Sensor, a multifunctional safety and security device with built-in vape detection and air quality monitoring, gunshot detection, abnormal noise and motion detection and emergency keyword detection. The HALO Smart Sensor improves situational awareness and makes it possible to help protect people and spaces even where video security solutions are not permitted.


Job Description

We are currently seeking a Channel Presales Support Engineer (PSE) for our Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Territory. The PSE will be responsible for supporting the territories RCSM and CAM on partnerships with Security and IT Integrators, Building Automation dealers, A&E Firms on client opportunities. The PSE reports to the Global Channel Support Manager, however we are looking for independent leaders who are self-managing.

Responsibilities:

  • Support new customer relationships both within partner and end-user communities

  • Help achieve sales, profitability, and customer recruitment objectives and represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers within their region(s)

  • Co-develop materials and conduct training for company products for the channel

  • Proactively drive and manage the technology phase of the sales process, and reporting

  • Support our 3rd party technology integration partners with training and product understanding on combined solutions

  • Co-develop presentation material with the sales team and perform technical presentations to the channel and end-users

  • Drive proof of concept and registered projects with the sales team including providing end of evaluation reports illustrating product and experience value alongside sales team to assist in project close

  • Liaise between helpdesk, sales and the channel on technical questions which arise during the sales process

  • Technical support and set up at trade shows

  • This position requires travel to trade shows, conferences, and client locations

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in one of the following: Sales, Engineering, or Solutions Architecture

  • Bachelors Degree preferred

  • Equipped in providing business-to-business technology/physical security/HVAC technical support environment with a track record of success 

  • Proficient knowledge of security and/or building automation products

  • Familiarity with cloud-based enterprise systems, IoT and Machine Learning a plus 

  • Experience with supporting enterprise solutions

  • Effective understanding and experience with the corporate culture, environment, and decision processes

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to express technical concepts in simplified ways  

  • Independent, self-disciplined and a problem solver

  • Helpful attitude and team centric, accountable, and takes initiative

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time within the designated region
