POSITION OVERVIEW
The Analyst, Performance Measures & Analytics is responsible to report and analyze on performance while ensuring integrity of data and continuous improvement.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Provide support to the Director, Performance Measures and Operations Support team by preparing detailed analyses and reports giving valuable insight on operational performance
Build and maintain data models using Extract Transform Load (ETL) practices
Prepare and distribute accurate reports in a timely manner; understand the dynamic of the data and reports. Provide meaningful insights to support decision making based on performance
Improve reporting structure, underlying data and automation to enhance integrity and time to market
Conduct analyses on volume activity, portfolio growth, pricing, profitability, efficiency, horsepower capacity, loan origination processes, delays of treatment/processes and online/digital activity to improve the performance of business line and increase BDC’s effective reach to entrepreneurs
Maintain and update performance reports related to individuals for the salesforce, mid-office & back-office teams
Participate in identifying, analyzing and monitoring current and historical trends in BDC’s portfolio of loans and acceptances
Engineer data for the team’s internal usage
Be a steward of data integrity, business knowledge and validation best practices
Adapt reports and tools to the evolving business reality in collaboration with business lines and units (ex. Risk, Finance, IT, etc.)
Participate actively in projects and initiatives when needed
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
University degree in mathematics, business analytics, finance, financial engineering, accounting or economics
Three to five years of professional experience in related fields
Minimum of two years of experience in banking, financial analysis, performance analytics, market risk management or portfolio risk management
Master’s degree and/or professional titles in related fields are assets
Strong computer skills (SQL, Excel, Power BI, Power Query and Pivot, SAP Business Objects)
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to organize, prioritize and collect data
Strong ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Ability to grasp new concepts quickly
Excellent problem-solving and presentation skills
Initiative and creativity
Good oral and written communication skills in both official languages (French and English)
