The Manager, Podcast Network oversees the execution and operational aspects of the NASCAR Podcast network, including content creation, team management, and business development within the podcasting and broader media industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Implement the overall content strategy to drive audience growth, engagement & revenue.
- Identify and evaluate new podcast opportunities and trends to expand the network’s portfolio.
- Oversee the production and distribution of podcast content.
- Ensure content aligns with the network’s brand, standards, and audience preferences.
- Analyze growth and report metrics of engagement.
- Produce and work closely with all on-air talent.
- Produce on-air talent and host and manage editors in creating compelling content for multiple platforms.
- Set an example and lead in a collaborative work environment.
- Identify and pursue partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising opportunities to monetize the podcast network.
- Develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to grow the audience and increase listener engagement.
- Ensure product consistency with original and migrated content.
- Develop multiple content profiles to fulfill the podcast content slate.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly supervises assigned staff.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in journalism, podcasting, and/or content development/storytelling; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Proficient in company-provided hardware and software, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, podcast production tools, and analytics tools.
- Ability to utilize analytics and listener feedback to refine content.
- Ability to produce and work closely with on-air talent.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively to solve problems and leverage business opportunities.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proven experience in podcasting, broadcasting, or digital media with a track record of successful content development and network growth.
