Your Team & Role

As an Infrastructure Developer in the Container and Application Product team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining APIs for container platforms, ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of our containerized infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in enabling the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our platform through your expertise in API development and container technologies.

Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day

  • Develop APIs using FastAPI to enable automation, orchestration, and management of container platforms.
  • Build container base images using our automation system to streamline the container deployment process and ensure consistency across environments.
  • Provide support for our EKS cluster platform, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the performance of containerized applications.
  • Maintain and update our Terraform infrastructure as code for EKS to reflect changes in infrastructure requirements, security policies, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement enhancements to the container platform.
  • Conduct testing, debugging, and performance tuning of APIs, container images, and infrastructure configurations to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in container technologies, automation tools, and cloud platforms to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Document API specifications, container image configurations, Terraform scripts, and infrastructure changes for knowledge sharing and future reference.

The Skills & Expertise You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in working with containers, container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and AWS ECS.
  • Proficiency in developing APIs using Python FastAPI or similar frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Solid understanding of cloud services, networking, security, and best practices in AWS environments.
  • Proven track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing containerized environments and cloud infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience on Kubernetes and AWS EKS
  • Experience on AWS Cloud Platform
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate)
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Working experience on development tools like VSCode, Pycharm.
  • Exposure to monitoring and logging techniques
  • Financial/Insurance industry knowledge

The salary range for this role is from $83,000.00 to $123,400.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
