Mission and responsibilities:

- As a financial controller, the role is the point of contact of T&O organization for the execution of controls over the budget of book of work.

- Coordinate and centralize the annual budgetary exercise three years ahead.

- Design resources and budget needs for launching of new projects.

- Control running cost and estimate impact according to the different drivers and volumes.

- Structure, report and explain the economic status of the projects to the Headquarters.

- Perform monthly closures (accrual) and prepare reports for Financial Management.

- Plan and follow up on the software amortization schedule.

- Monitor the rate of accrual vs. budget, deliverables, identify risks and propose mitigating actions.

- Ensuring any reconciliation breaks are investigated and solved on a timely basis, considering both tactical and strategic initiatives.

- Communicating with internal stakeholders to solve queries.

- Ensuring the efficient operation of a robust control environment within Openbank

To be successful in the role you must have:

- At least 15 years of experience in similar positions as an IT Controller in IT Banking services.

- Spanish (High Level), English (High Level required)

- High level of commitment driven by company objectives.

- Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to balance high-level strategic thinking with day-to-day practice.

- Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate confidently, clearly, and accurately at all levels.

- A confident self-initiative attitude.

- Control mindset.

- Attention to details.

- A strong sense of belonging and the ability to work independently.

- Excel (High Level), Powerpoint (High Level), Power BI (Medium Level), as well as the internal tools of Santander Group

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or similar field.
