Intermediate Business Financial Manager (BFM)  Opening #604

Clearance: Public Trust Required upon application

Location:  Washington D.C./Hybrid 

Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business Required 

The Intermediate Financial Manager shall have significant demonstrated mid-to-executive-level technical experience with the management of technical projects, or equivalent occupational experience with 5 years or more of relevant experience. The Intermediate BFM shall have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or Business field, equivalent experience/certification in a field relevant to the specific position, or substantial equivalent occupational experience. 

Duties: 

  • Provide comprehensive programmatic, financial, and administrative support to our government clients
  • Financial tracking and analysis
  • Budget preparation/maintenance assistance
  • Solicitation preparation and management
  • Tracking of deliverables and milestones
  • Maintaining schedule and calendar
  • Meeting support to include preparation of correspondence, and maintaining files
  • Experience in developing, organizing, forecasting, and maintaining financial budgets and tracking technical and financial milestones.
  • Experience in creating and coordinating budget and acquisition funding documents and knowledge/competence in analysis is required. 
  • Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required) Demonstrated experience in organizing and facilitating small meetings. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, Keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask. 
  • Can operate well in a group dynamic, think creatively and critically, and has a fundamental understanding of government budgeting and a fundamental understanding of government contracting.
  • Can produce work products that are accurate in presentation, context and can remain focused in stressful and fluctuating situations. . 

Required:   

  • Minimum of three (5) years of related financial and administrative assistance experience; relevant experience
  • Proficient in the use of Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) and the creation/modification of Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs)
  • Bachelor's degree

Desired:  

  • Master’s degree and Two (2) years of DARPA experience highly desirable
