This position is responsible for working with our manufacturing facilities across the U.S. and Canada to commercialize new products. This customer-facing role collaborates with sales, quality, process engineers, external vendors and plant production to meet the expectations of the customer.

  • Comply and promote Altium Packaging corporate safety standards
  • Proactive communication style to all cross-functional groups and individuals within Altium Packaging, recognizing that communication is effective only when the sender and the receiver both own the responsibility for delivery of accurate and timely messages.
  • Communicate with the Procurement Team in order to develop bid request for equipment and services.
  • Develop and maintain all bottle specifications until project is launched.
  • Follow Altium Packaging qualification guidelines holding phase 1 thru phase 4 reviews.
  • Develop cost estimates, justifications, and schedules for capital projects while managing the project spending budgets for each.
  • For Engineering lead projects, coordinate all mold and qualification activities.
  • Manage multiple, concurrent projects by keeping track of independent critical milestone activities, across the enter project life cycle.
  • Full adoption of Altium Packaging’s Guiding Principles, demonstrating said adoption throughout day-to-day activities and decision making

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Project or program management experience.
  • Experience with CAD drawings to understand bottle dimensions
  • Persuasive and professional written and verbal communication.
  • Willing and able to travel approximately 20-70% monthly.

Preferred:

  • Experience with extrusion, blow molding, or plastics.
  • Experience in dealing with National Accounts Clients.
  • Knowledge of polyolefin materials.
  • Background in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Packaging Engineering.
  • PMP or comparable project management training/certification.
  • Six Sigma training or certification.
  • Be able to write business plans and/or capital appropriations requests.
  • Knowledge of and experience in Statistical Process Charts.
