The opportunity:
AIA now have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Portfolio Reporting Analyst to join our team in Melbourne.
As the Senior Portfolio Reporting Analyst, you will analyse and report on project and portfolio performance, ensuring projects align with organisational goals. In addition, you will provide insights to drive decision-making. In this exciting role, you will blend your technical skills, analytical abilities and strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively report on project and portfolio performance.
To do this successfully you will:
- Develop, implement and maintain effective reporting processes for project and portfolio performance
- Create ad-hoc reports and dashboards to support portfolio decision-making
- Work closely with project and program managers to maintain accurate reporting and performance metrics to assess project and portfolio health
- Assist in the governance and oversight of project execution and status reporting (schedule, budget, resource utilisation and benefits) by identifying trends, inconsistencies and highlighting areas of concerns or issues
- Monitor and evaluate portfolio-wide project data to track progress, identify risks and ensure alignment with strategic priorities
- Monitor project health and identify potential risks and issues
- Support the PMO team in the preparation of reporting packs for relevant governance forums
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, project managers, delivery leadership and team members
- Facilitate communication and information sharing related to project and portfolio performance
- Identify, develop and implement best practices for project reporting and portfolio management processes and tools
- Contribute to continuous improvement of portfolio management processes, templates, and standards
Successful applications will demonstrate:
- Experience in a project portfolio or PMO role within the financial services or insurance industry
- A strong understanding of project governance, strategic planning, and delivery frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
- Experience in project financials, forecasting and benefits tracking
- Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and portfolio/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
- Ability to influence and engage with senior stakeholders
