We are seeking a Director, Business Development Laboratory Services to join Q² Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business as a remote position.

As a Director, Business Development, you will be securing and retaining business through professional, consultative, proactive sales activities directed at decision-makers and decision influencers at existing and new clinical sponsors. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Prospecting and leveraging potential new business opportunities.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of the customer organization.
  • Pursuing awareness of competitive activities, positioning, and pricing.
  • Identifying potential opportunities and communicating them to management.
  • Working with operations and functional managers to identify sales team and preparing and leading the sales presentation. Educating team participants in customer culture, operational needs/methods and sales techniques needed to close the sale.
  • Handling follow-up related to the sale and completing contractual documents.
  • Adapting successful strategies and tactics to meet market demands and financial targets.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management.
  • 12 years related experience, including 5 years of relevant industry (CRO/Pharmaceutical) and/or sales experience.
  • Proven track record at mid-level and high-level contacts.
  • Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:

  • Excellent Business/Industry awareness and a thorough understanding of industry trends and impact on the business.
  • Solid understanding of commercialization and the principles of Centralized Laboratories and/or selling lab services into the biotech industry.
  • Ability to influence others internally and externally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $134,200.00 - $249,200.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
