For Linklaters Service Delivery Centre Warsaw we're currently recruiting for the Data Protection Manager role.
Your role
Data Protection Manager will be a member of Regulatory Compliance within Linklaters’ global Legal & Risk team. The Linklaters Legal & Risk department manages the firm’s risk worldwide, both within the Practice and Business Teams, to ensure that Linklaters’ reputation is preserved and professional rules are complied with.
This role will manage global data protection and privacy issues for the firm and serve as an advisor to the leadership in relation to the same.
This role will act as the main point of contact for business teams across the firm as required in relation to data protection and privacy matters.
The role may also involve managing relationships and working with external counsel for the provision of privacy and data protection advice and services.
This role will have line management responsibilities over two team members.
Your experience
• CIPP-E qualification
• Graduate in Law; Economics; Audit/ Compliance/ Internal Control; or similar
• 5+ years of relevant experience in the field of data privacy.
• In depth knowledge of data protection requirements within the European Union and awareness of data protection requirements globally.
• Hands on experience of advising on data protection and privacy laws, including experience of operationalising legal requirements either working alone or with the business to ensure requirements are embedded into business processes.
Key relationships
All within Global Legal & Risk, including Director, Global Regulatory Compliance and lawyers in Regulatory Compliance (London and Warsaw) with regard to RC processes, junior team members of Regulatory Compliance in Warsaw. Anyone in the practice or business teams worldwide raising privacy issues with the Regulatory Compliance team.
