Sr. Manager - Enterprise Compliance Programs

Location: Atlanta, GA; Columbus, OH; Dallas, TX; Richmond, VA (Preferred)

Position Description

As part of McKesson’s Enterprise Ethics & Compliance team, the Senior Manager, Enterprise Compliance Programs will manage and support key elements of our compliance program. This role will be responsible for developing and improving processes tied to various functions within the compliance program.  Additionally, the Manager will be responsible for project management and reporting on strategic program initiatives.

This role will routinely engage operational stakeholders, business-unit compliance partners, and subject matter experts as it pertains to program initiatives, process enhancements, and risk management.  

This role will report to the Senior Director, Enterprise Compliance Programs & Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • An Intuitive Intellect
    • Develop, oversee, and facilitate the intake process for various functions within the Enterprise Compliance & Ethics team by asking the right questions to ensure individuals’ questions and concerns are handled appropriately.
    • Facilitate the timely review and response to potential conflicts of interest
    • Serve as a liaison with the Enterprise Compliance Communications team, Corporate Communications, and external stakeholders.
    • Interface with operational stakeholders and employees to coordinate replies and guidance on compliance-related inquiries.
  • A Project Management Master
    • Collaborate with subject-matter experts and other stakeholders to ensure business strategy needs are considered as part of key compliance initiatives.
    • Establish accountability and serve as a trusted partner to the business to ensure project commitments are delivered on time.
    • Engage with enterprise and business unit legal and compliance stakeholders to ensure that existing and emerging risks are appropriately addressed within program/project deliverables.
  • A Compliance Research Curator
    • Continually evaluate industry trends and maintain a strong understanding of regulatory guidance to ensure program functions adhere to the relevant requirements and to respond to inquiries on the topics.
  • A Continuous Process Improvement Pro
    • Drive continuous improvement and standardization within program/project disciplines.
    • Develop and apply QA measures into processes and enhancements to maintain feedback loops for lessons learned.
  • A Tech Trailblazer
    • Foster innovation and efficiency by serving as a Conflict of Interests module super-user.
    • Adopt a digital mindset to drive efficiencies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience required.
  • 5+ years’ experience working in compliance or legal in a pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other healthcare organization.

Additional Skills & Requirements

  • Basic knowledge in business, laws and regulations governing the healthcare, life sciences and/or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Experience applying risk methodologies in decision-making.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions. 
  • Excellent process improvement and written communication skills, with knowledge of and experience in compliance program standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced computer software proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to understand complex problems, and to collaborate and explore alternative solutions with a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, matrixed environment on large and small projects.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$96,900 - $161,500
