Overview

As the Senior Product Manager for Growth, you will be at the helm of driving user and revenue growth across the entire customer journey, from onboarding to long-term retention. You will play a pivotal role in building and executing strategies that enhance product adoption, create upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and ensure customer retention and satisfaction.

Your mission will be to create frictionless user experiences that convert new users into engaged, loyal customers while maximizing the value they receive from the product. This will include designing and optimizing the onboarding flow to ensure new users quickly find value, driving initiatives that encourage feature adoption and increase engagement, and implementing strategies to identify and act on upsell/cross-sell opportunities throughout the customer lifecycle.

This role requires collaboration with executive leadership and collaboration across teams such as marketing, customer success, data, and engineering, and leading a growth-focused roadmap that balances experimentation with impactful product improvements.

As a member of the product team, you’ll lead and mentor other product managers, sharing best practices and building a growth-centric culture. Ultimately, you will be responsible for driving sustainable growth and product adoption.

Please note: While Recharge Payments is a remote-first company, this position is based primarily out of Santa Monica, CA. This role will require you to be in-office part time, and will report into our Santa Monica hub.

What you’ll do

Develop and Execute Growth Strategy: Define and drive the product growth strategy that focuses on user acquisition, conversion, retention, and product adoption. Own and manage the product roadmap for growth, aligning initiatives with company objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Identify and Prioritize Opportunities: Use data analytics and qualitative insights to identify opportunities for growth across the user funnel (e.g., awareness, activation, engagement, retention, product adoption). Prioritize initiatives based on impact, effort, and alignment with strategic goals.

Experimentation and A/B Testing: Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and experiments to optimize user acquisition, conversion rates, retention, and product adoption. Iterate on findings and develop data-driven recommendations to improve product performance.

Cross-functional Collaboration and Leadership: Lead cross-functional efforts and work closely with engineering, data, design, and marketing to execute growth initiatives and experiments.

Product Optimization: Continually optimize onboarding experiences, user flows, and in-product messaging to improve user retention, reduce churn, and increase product adoption. Collaborate on initiatives like personalization, recommendations, and upsell/cross-sell opportunities to drive revenue growth.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Monitor, analyze, and report on product performance metrics, and use these insights to inform product decisions. Build dashboards and set up tracking for key growth metrics (e.g., LTV, CAC, activation rate, conversion funnels).

 

What you’ll bring

  • 7+ years of product management experience in a fast-paced SaaS company
  • 3+ years of experience, specifically in growth product management
  • Proven track record of leading growth initiatives and driving key growth metrics (acquisition, retention, expansion, churn, and product adoption).
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Strong background in data analytics and fluency in using data to inform decisions and measure success, 
  • Proficient and experienced with SQL, data, and tools such as Looker, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or Google Analytics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively across technical, design, and marketing teams.
  • Relentless drive to test, iterate, and deliver products, growth, and experiences rapidly
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and excited to work on complex problems
