Position: Senior Software Engineer - Developer - Salesforce

Position Summary

A key role in the Enterprise Salesforce service, this candidate will work in a close-knit product focused team to deliver critical applications to BMS on the Salesforce platform.  The successful candidate will have experience with multiple salesforce technologies and the capacity and opportunity to both learn and teach technologies and processes to other team members.

The Salesforce Developer works closely with their Product Team peers, their Technical Lead, and the Enterprise Engineering Manager to ensure robust delivery according to an agile plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing customized solutions on the Salesforce platform supporting BMS Business solutions
  • Understanding / Influencing user stories, product architecture, release roadmap, development tools and processes
  • Designing, coding, and implementing Salesforce applications in a close-knit product focused team environment.
  • Contributing to timelines and development goals.
  • Unit Testing and coordinating with Testing resources.
  • Troubleshooting, Root cause identification, Support Case creation and remediation.
  • Review and contribution to SDLC technical documentation
  • Maintaining the security and integrity of all application software.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience developing, designing, and customizing Salesforce applications.
  • Experience developing / designing custom solutions using Salesforce Lightning Web Components, Apex, Aura Components, Visualforce, SOQL, and SOSL.
  • Experience using Flosum or Copado for source control / release management.
  • Experience in Salesforce integrations with external systems via API or other.
  • Exposure to / experience with Cloud services from AWS, Azure, GCP.
  • Understanding of web development technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Knowledge of data migration and data management tools and techniques, such as Data Loader and Data Import Wizard.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and project management tools, such as JIRA.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security features and best practices, including role hierarchy, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules.
  • Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, Salesforce Certified Administrator, and Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Requires thorough knowledge of the principles and concepts of a discipline and developed knowledge of other related disciplines, typically gained through a university degree and 4-6 years of experience. 
  • Persuades and negotiates effectively with stakeholders in being able to coordinate actions for achieving the desired outcome. ​
  • Articulates and presents complex information clearly and concisely across all levels. Demonstrates abilities and knowledge in being able to explain and present complex topics clearly.​
  • Participates in decision making and brings experiences and ideas to achieve team objectives. ​
  • Identifies short-term and long-term development goals aligned with current capabilities. 
  • Looks to improve processes, structures, and knowledge within the team. 
  • Applies understanding of internal/external challenges to contribute to the team's vision and maintains a focus on work in accomplishing operational goals.
