Responsibilities

As a Data Architect, your responsibilities will include:

Developing Database Solutions:

  • Create and optimize database structures to efficiently store and retrieve company data.
  • Implement data migration strategies when transitioning to new systems.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to set up databases and related tools.

Structural Requirements Analysis:

  • Analyze structural requirements for new software and applications.
  • Understand business needs and translate them into effective data models.

Data Migration:

  • Migrate data from legacy systems to modern solutions.
  • Ensure smooth data transition without compromising integrity.

Data Model Design:

  • Design conceptual and logical data models.
  • Create flowcharts to visualize data processes.

Performance Optimization:

  • Continuously improve system performance by conducting tests and troubleshooting.
  • Integrate new elements to enhance efficiency.

Security and Collaboration:

  • Define security procedures for data access and management.
  • Collaborate with the Data Science department to identify future needs and requirements.

Data Strategy Development:

  • Strategic Thinking: Experience on understanding the client requirement, defining & implementing data strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Data Governance: Establish policies and procedures for data management, quality, and compliance.
  • Data Lifecycle Management: Define data lifecycle stages from creation to archival.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in data architecture, data analysis, and database design/maintenance.
  • Expertise in data modeling, ensuring efficient and scalable structures.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, database management systems (DBMS), and cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with ETL toolsets and real-time data integration techniques.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, D3.js, and R (highly desirable).
  • Must have Expertise on cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Ability to deploy and manage databases in the cloud.
  • Good to have understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, including machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics.Experience with AI frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch is an added advantage.
