The Data Authority Senior Vice President contributes to efforts to ensure data is sourced from Authorized Data Sources and meet all required data governance obligations. The Data Authority Senior Vice President provides guidance for designating applications as System of Records (SORs) and/or Authoritative Redistributors (ARs) and assigning Technology Ownership and Data Ownership in accordance with the Citi Data Governance Policy (CDGP) and Citi Data Governance Standard (CDGS).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead SM&C Lines of Business (LOBs) adoption and implementation of Data Authority activities for (1) designating Authoritative Data Sources (ADS), (2) assigning Data Ownership and (3) Technology assignment per CDGP and CDGS.

  • Lead data improvement initiatives, processes, and creation of tools in line with requirements

  • Liaise with other areas of the firm to understand data challenges and recommend solutions and requirements to remediate.

  • Develop procedures to effectively govern the Data Authority activities.

  • Provide leadership to further develop firmwide processes to help Citi meet the expectations of data governance policy and standard.

  • Work with the technical team responsible for developing the data governance platform to provide enhancement requirements to ensure the onboarding process is effective and efficient.

  • Engage with Application Managers and Subject Matter Experts to understand the purpose and objective of an application to designate applications as Authoritative Data Sources (ADS).

  • Lead day to day activities to support data quality resolution, and to optimize metrics reporting process 

  • Report, escalate and work in partnership to remediate any technological issues that is impacting your work

  • Work in partnership with Data Stewards, Application Managers and Data Governance Officers to identify Data Owners for specific applications and datasets.

  • Provide daily/weekly/monthly updates to Senior Management and other senior stakeholder regarding data governance activities.

Qualifications:

  • At least years experience with defining and implementing Data Governance programs

  • Background in audit or financial services highly preferred.

  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of how own area and others collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives

  • Ability to monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes, with the ability to anticipate and balance needs of multiple stakeholders

  • Ability to communicate effectively to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences

  • Collaborates effectively by building partnerships and working well with others to meet shared objectives

  • Ability to work under pressure and facilitate discussions

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$141,440.00 - $212,160.00
