The role

The Remote Operations Centre Data Processor will manage the collection of and process hydrographic data including interpretation, analysis and quality control tasks.

They possess knowledge in hydrographic survey techniques, geodesy and cartography and proficiency in the use of specialised data processing and map generation software products. They utilise processed data to produce a range of hydrographic products including maps, models, charts and GIS deliverables in line with Company and Client requirements and standards.

The ROC Data Processor will proactively communicate with Company Project and Client Deliverables personnel on and offshore to provide service delivery in a clear and concise manner and assist with the integration of remote technologies into the operational workflow.

Your responsibilities include:

Undertake processing of survey data, e.g. navigation and multibeam echosounder (MBES) data acquired from vessel, USV, ROV or AUV survey platforms.

Collects collates and presents results from various survey sensors.

Ensure processed data is suitable for charting, reporting and complies with the scope of work.

Prepares and ensures quality control of logs and reports.

Generate and compile products including survey data, charts, GIS and reports in a timely manner and in line with requirements for delivery to Clients.

Maintains effective and appropriate communication with client representatives, Project Manager, and other onshore and offshore departments e.g., Client Deliverables.

Maintains comprehensive handover notes.

Who we’re looking for:

  BSC or MSC or equivalent in a relevant survey related discipline including Hydrography, Geomatics, Geospatial Sciences, Mapping Sciences, GIS, and remote sensing or similar.

Previous experience in hydrographic surveying and experience with post processing software’s such as Caris HIPS & SIPS, Starfix Processing suite, QPS Software’s & ArcGIS

IHO Cat A or IHO Cat B desirable but not essential.
