We are currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Technical Delivery and Support Engineer in our Systems Division in Amsterdam.

Your impact at MUFG

You will be responsible for management/support and technical delivery of simple to complex Infrastructure services, initiatives & projects. You will manage the planning and execution of technical Platform Infrastructure elements across programmes of work and services. You will work in close collaboration with relevant Programme / Project Manager/ Infrastructure L3 Lead for such initiatives. Planning and executions include working with multiple security, IT, Change Management and other leadership / stakeholders and a variety of Architects and Engineering technical SME’s to identify, plan, impact analyse and deliver platform hosted initiatives.

You will work together with 3rd parties/EMEA Tech to ensure that all Infra services delivered are in full accordance with MBE requirements.

Function positioning

Systems Division supports MBE’s IT structures with regard to IT applications, infrastructure and hardware. There are 4 pillars in the division:

1. IT Planning

2. IT Service Delivery

3. IT Security

4. Local Branches IT 

The Infrastructure Technical Delivery and Support Engineer reports to the Head of IT Service Delivery who reports to the Head of IT Division.

The role includes the following:

  • Provide specialized technical guidance, establish technical delivery goals and set reasonable delivery timeframes
  • Interpret Platform relevant regulatory, requirements and security, design and technical best practices and translate these to business aligned Platform Infrastructure programme requirements
  • Provide SME technical escalation for core Platform technologies
  • Responsible for the definition, documentation and safe technical execution of projects and Infrastructure workstreams, working closely with the allocated Programme / Project Manager / Level 3.  Actively participating in all phases of workstreams and project
  • Provide technical expertise to ensure that requirements and quality plans are prepared and maintained and tracked accordingly
  • Analyse accuracy of technical demands, work in progress, take action to ensure targets are met within safety and quality procedures, including hand-over to business where appropriate
  • Work with Level 3 to define strategies and plans, ensuring plans are aligned to the strategic goals of both the business and Technology
  • Provide effective investigation and technical resolutions for any issues that may occur as part of  various initiatives, work steams and project lifecycle
  • Investigate potential and actual service problems that arise from implementation and recommend solutions. Follows formal procedures to plan and test proposed solutions
  • Manage the Platform technical delivery of services, initiatives, projects and workstreams within the agreed technical scope, cost and timescale across Bank and Securities

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:

Skills and experience:

  • Highly skilled engineer with a comprehensive background in Platform and related technologies
  • Strong Infrastructure delivery and support background with evidence of successful technical delivery across multiple workstreams within the Platform Infrastructure space
  • Experience in managing  the support and technical delivery for multiple workstreams with broad scope, ambiguity, and high degree of difficulty
  • Demonstrable experience of senior stakeholder management and relevant management reporting
  • Ability to coach team members and stakeholders through technical knowledge transfer and constructive feedback to address issues ranging from maintenance and Platform Infrastructure performance to high visibility issues impacting manage users
  • Familiar with the specific standards associated with an IT practitioner’s current role: e.g. Health and safety standards; change management; incident management and problem management standards; and common service focused frameworks such as ITIL
  • Wide range of Cloud Infrastructure technical skills to be able to bring together technical team in the production of a clear, achievable, cost-effective and supportable design
  • Experience in project and development methodologies
  • Experience planning and prioritising multiple work streams in response to rapidly developing and changing portfolios
  • Turning business problems into optimal technical designs, aligning user needs with systems requirements and organisational goals
  • Experience of supplier and third-party risk management
  • Solid analytical/problem-solving skills with capability to identify solutions to unusual and complex problems
  • Acute awareness of Security and Auditing requirements in a regulated environment
  • Experience in leading technical and non-technical SMEs
  • Excellent communication/leadership/interpersonal skills; results driven and with strong sense of accountability
  • You value and develop trusted relationships at every operational level
  • Strong decision making skills, the ability to demonstrate sound judgement
  • An ITIL qualification preferably Foundation at version 3 or above is a plus

Besides that we will offer you:

  • Gross salary based on experience and consistent with the market
  • 8% holiday allowance and 13th month payment.
  • 30 vacation days per year. Optional you can buy 15 additional days.
  • Commuting allowance based on annual public transport 2nd class, most economical way, or € 0,23 per km with a max of 75km one way.
  • €5,00 net remote working compensation per day, with a maximum of €60,00 per month.
