Job Description Summary:

The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center is actively recruiting a full-time board certified/board eligible Comprehensive Otolaryngologist, at the Assistant Professor level, to provide general otolaryngology outpatient and surgical services at the University of Kansas Health System/University of Kansas Medical Center and our contract community outreach sites located in the Greater Kansas City Area including Truman Medical Center and Kansas City Department of Veteran’s Affairs. This individual will join a clinically and academically productive division with adult otolaryngology call coverage shared among twenty-eight faculty.

Provide general otolaryngology outpatient and surgical services at the University of Kansas Health System/University of Kansas Medical Center and our contract community outreach sites located in the Greater Kansas City Area including Truman Medical Center and Kansas City Department of Veteran’s Affairs.

Job Duties Outlined:

  • Provides billing information to the billing office within one day of outpatient clinic or surgery.

  • Abide by the Medical Staff by-laws of the University of Kansas Medical Center and contracted facilities.

  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Department Chair.


Required Qualifications
Education: Board certified/board eligible in Otolaryngology.

Work Experience: Must be proficient in all aspects of Otolaryngology with emphasis in the treatment of cancer patients

Preferred Qualifications
Work Experience: Preference will be given to individuals who have strong clinical and surgical experience, and experience in teaching medical students and otolaryngology residents.
