Job Responsibilities:

Administration of all SCSE Graduate Programs by Research which includes but not limited to the following:

  • Oversee all matters pertaining to graduate programs by research.  Include but not limited to admissions, matriculation, course registration and exemption, orientation briefings, planning of courses, examinations, confirmation exercise, thesis submission, oral defence, nomination of examiners, Thesis Advisory Committee (TAC), Graduate Training Hours (GTH), Graduate Assistantship Programme (GAP), compulsory seminar attendance, transferable skills workshops, leave matters, 3MT, postgraduate outreach and publicity, website content maintenance, overseas conference processing, research internship programmes, etc. 

  • Assist Associate Dean (Graduate Studies) and CCDS Graduate Club in the club activities.

  • Provide secretarial support to various committees such as Outstanding Postgraduate Thesis Award Committee (OPTA), Teaching Assistantship Award Committee (TA) and Board of Examiners (BOE) Committee, etc.

  • Prepares content for student handbooks, FAQs, instructions for students, policy documents, standard letters, work processes and timelines, standard and non-standard replies, checklists, forms, etc.

  • Timely update and maintenance of all graduate students’ data in the CCDS and OAS systems.

  • To provide support to the PGR team in all areas of work pertaining to Research and Graduate Studies, including data collation, statistics and reporting, ad-hoc research seminars and events, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • Min. a Degree with 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in an educational institution.

  • IT savvy, proficient in MS Office applications

  • Meticulous and organized, with the ability to multi-task

  • Proactive, analytical and resourceful

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills

  • Good sense of initiative and responsibility and positive working attitude

  • Tactful and able to demonstrate empathy whenever necessary
