Global Growth Team – Customer Service

To achieve this, eBay is seeking a Director, People Business Partner. This role will support eBay's Global Customer Experience organization, a large, progressive, globally disbursed customer service organization.

The ideal candidate will be an influential leader, capable of working with a diverse group of senior leaders with varying styles. This role will be responsible for understanding the business objectives of eBay and the organizations they support and providing the appropriate people expertise, strategic input, insight, process and/or programs to deliver business results. This candidate must be able to work in and through a large, global organization with both business leaders and peers on the People Team.

What You Will Accomplish:

  • Strategic People Business Partner: Understand the business and teams supported, top to bottom. Partner with business leaders to develop business objectives and plans understanding how to design and implement People strategies to ensure the organization, capabilities and culture are optimized to deliver business results.
  • People Program Activation: Understand your organization’s strategic goals and activate the appropriate corporate people programs, strategies and processes pertinent to rewards & compensation, staffing, talent management/OD, employee relations and learning to achieve business results. Effectively partner with and fully demonstrate People corporate functional areas.
  • Executive Coaching: Strengthen the senior leadership team of each function by providing coaching and counsel to senior executives to further develop their leadership capability.
  • Organizational Effectiveness: Partner with senior executives and leadership teams of the client organizations to design and build organizational capability to deliver against the strategic goals and objectives of the businesses.
  • HR Analytics: Apply data to create insights that inform and measure effectiveness of people strategies.
  • Leadership: Improve People capability by partnering with other members of the People team to develop and implement new and / or improved programs and processes. Bring new People expertise and capability to the eBay People team. Participate in the ongoing development of the People org strategic direction for the business and company.

What You Will Bring:

  • The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of human resources experience (people), with experience in an increasingly senior and complex global business environment, influencing and getting results.
  • Strong eye for business that includes an extensive knowledge of the technology business, a clear understanding of market trends, competition, company policies, procedures, and culture.
  • Adept partner management skills that include the ability to effectively consult, negotiate, resolve conflict and influence change.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to design and implement creative processes and solutions that drive business results.
  • Proven ability to be transformative, provide strategic thought leadership, think analytically and tackle complex issues and challenges.
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to facilitate team building, develop effective partnerships and collaborate with a variety of partners at all levels.
  • Bachelor Degree; MBA/Masters preferred
