What You Can Expect

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work closely with our semiconductor foundries on, process development, product debug, and yield improvement
  • Work with product architects in early definition stage to understand and define package architectures, roadmap
  • Lead new package technology development initiatives including 2.5D, 3D, and CPO from concept to full technology qualification
  • Drive test vehicle design and manufacturing to establish design rules, DFM/DFY guidelines
  • Establish yield roadmap and lead implementation of yield, data analytic tools as need

Specific Responsibilities/Duties Include:

  • Work with Marvell Product Engineering to assist with yield debug and if necessary, work the wafer foundry / packaging on root cause and corrective actions to improve yield
  • Ensure that yield improvement and control is achieved through disciplined use of statistical process control and design of experiments
  • Approve all relevant process changes that may impact Marvell products
  • Review foundry Process Control Monitor (PCM) data and implement action plans, as needed
  • Keep foundry related documentation (e.g. design rules, model documents) up to date and relay any changes to Engineering and how current or in-design projects are affected.

What We're Looking For

  • Prior experience in developing and deploying silicon photonics and CPO solutions to the market
  • Prior experience developing photonics coupler assembly, test, DFM
  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor technology development role
  • 10+ years of experience working with manufacturing partners such as foundries and OSATs
  • In-depth knowledge of various packaging architectures such as 3D die stacking, 2.5D CoWoS and Fan-out packaging, Co-Packaged Optics (CPO)
  • Proven track of leading technology qualification for advanced data-center products
  • BSEE or MSEE in Device Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Optics
  • Must have a solid understanding of semi-conductor device processing as well as a basic understanding of analog and digital circuit operation and optics
  • Knowledge of inspection, test and failure analysis techniques
  • Understanding of analysis tools such as Gage R&R, FMEA, SPC, Cpk and DOE
  • Must possess excellent communication skills both oral and written
