Are you interested in working for a company that makes a difference?  If so, Keystone Human Services has an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Benefits and Leave Coordinator.  This is a hybrid position supporting operations in the Harrisburg, PA area. 

The Benefits & Leave Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of employee group benefit programs and leave administration. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to employees and will monitor benefits and leave administration by providing analytical and technical support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains and responds to department inquiries to ensure appropriate, timely, equitable and courteous resolutions.

  • Investigates and analyzes concerns and discrepancies to facilitate resolutions of benefit issues. Follows up with employees, carriers, and Benefits team as necessary.

  • Processes daily employee benefit enrollment activity, including new-hires, status changes, qualifying life events (QLE) and terminations.

  • Assures HRIS system and carrier databases are routinely verified and accurately updated for all enrollments.

  • Coordinates Health Insurance Premium Payment Program (HIPP) and Qualified Medical Child Support Order (QMCSO) with state and county agencies, including correspondence and associated health insurance enrollment activity.

  • Gathers, completes and submits employee short-term disability (STD), long term disability (LTD) and employee death claims with insurance carrier.

  • Processes monthly invoices and prepares vouchers for payment of administrative fees for all group plans.

  • Processes and tracks leave requests and triages leave questions.

  • Coordinates the leave process between employee, supervisor, third party vendors and local Human Resources team.

  • Counsels employees and managers on policies and procedures related to leaves, advising on eligibility and status of leave.

  • Tracks and enters time and attendance for payroll to ensure adherence to leave policies and procedures.

  • Identifies and collects missed employee benefit payroll premiums

Position Details:

  • $20.00 - $22.00 / hour

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • One year of administrative support experience required; Benefits or Human Resources experience is preferred.

  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing and to be able to read, interpret and apply written information.

  • Ability to learn and apply intermediate computer skills, including the use of software and other web-based systems.

  • Ability to pass required background checks and clearances.

  • Valid driver’s license and may be required to have daily access to privately maintained and insured vehicle
