PRIMARY FUNCTION: Primarily responsible for performing general clerical duties including order data entry and accurate record maintenance.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Perform clerical function related to the processing of orders, ensuring the timely acquisition of supplies, equipment and materials
- Complete order entry into purchasing management software including preparing purchase requisitions, generating purchase orders, obtain price quotes when needed, etc.;
- Monitor and track purchase orders; contact suppliers for late or missing orders when needed
- Prepare purchasing reports as requested ensuring data reported is accurate and up-to-date
- Assist with monthly inventory
- All other relevant duties as requested by supervisor or manager
EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a clerical position
- Ability to communicate (both speak and write) and comprehend English fluently
- Ability to fluently communicate both internally and externally in a timely and professional manner
- Must have proficient computer and math skills
- Self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative and sense of urgency, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment when needed and the ability to effectively multi-task
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize to complete tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Must be able to work unsupervised to complete all tasks
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
- Follow all departmental and company safety policies and programs
- Wear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift 20 lbs frequently and 40 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to frequently move about the facility
