POSITION SUMMARY
THE MARKETING BROKER is responsible for marketing, quoting & binding new and renewal business.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
• Creates and maintain agency relationships
• Creates and maintain carrier relationships
• Obtains and submit account submission information
• Processes quotes and Binders
• Reviews coverages
• Resolves issues
• Organizes and prioritize by use of spreadsheets
• Reviews and qualifies submissions, new and renewal as received from retail agents
• Requests any missing or outdated information from retail agent
• Prepares and sends submissions, Statement of Values, Revenue History as relates to line of coverage to appropriate markets with detailed underwriting information outlined in emails to carriers
• Contacts/follows up with available markets for status, ie, quotes, declinations
• Enters correspondence into Image Right (paperless database)
• Tracks & follows up on endorsement requests with Account Manager
• Provides quote cover letters & attachments
• Liaises with your broker over urgent items, keeping follow-ups & reminders for yourself but also for your broker
• Establishes priorities - confirming those priorities with your broker & then following-up with those priorities
• Keeps track of Notice of Non-Renewals (making sure the broker knows before the agent/insured) and maintaining renewal list (the broker should have the list prior to 120 days)
• Has working knowledge of key accounts

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)
• Texas Property and Casualty Insurance License - active and in good standing; if don't have already, must obtain within first 6 (six) months of employment

• Texas Surplus Lines Insurance License - active and in good standing; if don't have already, must obtain within first 6 (six) months of employment

• 3 - 5 years’ experience in marketing or related industry experience
• Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)

MINIMUM JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in research analysis and modeling in heavily transactional situations
• Advanced Microsoft Office skill
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Extremely detail-oriented, well-organized and have time management skills
• Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• A good, positive, energetic, attitude towards customers, markets & fellow employees
• Property & Casualty insurance and account management experience preferred
