The Civil Space Systems Business Unit within Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is looking for you to join our team as a Business Management Manager 3 for the Science and Robotic Exploration Operating Unit (OU), based out of Gilbert, AZ. This will be staffed as full-time onsite, with flexibility to be based out of our Gilbert, AZ or Dulles, VA offices. This position will operate under a 9/80 Work Schedule.
What You'll Get to Do:
The OU Business Manager will partner with the OU Director to manage a complex portfolio of programs to achieve the Operating Unit’s financial and strategic objectives. Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordinate and lead business management functions including financial forecasting, Earned Value Management, monthly reporting, etc.
- Provide direct management and leadership for a team of Program Business Managers
- Provide business analysis and reporting with the ability to clearly communicate with senior management as it relates to program status
- Develop business strategy and forecasting through internal or external deliverables such as the Annual Operating Plan and monthly financial forecast
- Oversee key line forecasting, work authorization, implementation of EV reporting, program budgeting, estimate at complete development, and various financial reporting activities
- Coordinate cost and schedule analyses and preparation of reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon cost and schedule parameters
- Assist in coordinating proposals from draft RFP to award, including review of RFP, FAR clauses, coordination with subcontractor flow-downs, basis of estimates, indirect rates, pricing strategies, cash management, negotiation strategy and oversight, and presenting to Senior Management.
- Manage risks with multiple contract types from both an execution and financial perspective
- Develop professional and management talent within the Operating Unit

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field and 10+ years of relevant Finance/Department of Defense (DoD) industry work experience – OR – a Master’s Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience as outlined.
- Demonstrated increasing leadership experience.
- Experience working for/with a US Government Contractor.
- Experience in program finance and accounting to include EAC management.
- New business capture experience and/or experience managing large execution programs for a restricted customer in the Aerospace and/or Defense industry.
- 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Ability to travel domestically 10% of the time.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Top Secret and/or SCI security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with internal and external audit agencies.
- Experience working with Costpoint and IBM Planning and Analytics tools
- Familiarity with the risk management process and the development of S-Curve modeling for proposals and schedule risk assessments
Salary Range: $129,000.00 - $224,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
