The opportunity:

Markel International has ambitious growth plans and will continue to recruit new staff on an ongoing basis. We are committed to make the employee lifecycle experience seamless and streamlined for managers, new hires, and departing colleagues alike.

The IT onboarding and offboarding coordinator is responsible for coordinating the IT aspects of the employee lifecycle, from hiring to termination. The coordinator ensures that new hires have the necessary IT equipment, access, and good day-one experience to be effective in their roles, and that departing employees return their IT assets and have their access revoked in a timely and secure manner.

The post holder will collaborate with staff across HR, IT, GSS Access Management, 3rd party recruitment agencies and managers to provide a single point of co-ordination for the onboarding and offboarding processes.

It is essential that the successful candidate is able to build strong relationships across multiple teams.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Establishes strong relationships across all teams in the recruitment, hiring, onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.

  • Owns and co-ordinates the onboarding process from offer to the first few weeks for new hires.

  • Assists in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of IT assets by coordinating the return of IT assets by departing colleagues

  • Tracks current status, action owners & completion dates for each hire in format that all interested parties can easily consume.

  • Proactively unblocks any impediments to the on-boarding process for all new hires.

  • Responds to questions and queries related to the new hires and leavers.

  • Publishes regular status updates (weekly and ad-hoc on request) for each of the roles being recruited as well those departing the company.

  • Identifies and implements opportunities for improving the IT onboarding and offboarding processes and user experience.

Our must-haves:

  • Demonstrable ability to build strong relationships across multiple delivery teams and cultures.

  • People focused but able to define and follow clear efficient processes in a complex organisation.

  • Very highly organised with problem solving skills and a “can-do” attitude.

  • Customer focus, diplomacy, tact and demonstrable stakeholder management skills are essential.

  • Skilled in the basic use of Microsoft Office products (especially Excel and Word).

  • Prior experience in a similar or related role would be beneficial but not essential.
