Position Summary

As a Market Access Manager, you will be responsible for market access strategy and execution, pricing and reimbursements for assigned BMS products ensuring Finnish patients have access to BMS medicines.

This critical role involves close collaboration with our Medical, Business Units, Governmental Affairs, and HEOR teams to develop and implement effective brand-specific strategies to support patient access of BMS medicines in Finland. Building and maintain relationships with key national payer stakeholders to ensure optimal patient access to our innovative treatments.

The primary objective of this role is to ensure that BMS’s innovative medicines are available to Finnish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement market access and pricing strategies for assigned brands, ensuring optimal patient access to treatment.
  • Define strategic imperatives and key initiatives with clear project management and oversight.
  • Analyse the local access landscape, including competitor intelligence and local HTA processes, to guide strategic planning.
  • Contribute to the integration of local market insights into strategic planning at both national and international levels.
  • Develop tools to reinforce and communicate value, to be used by the cross-functional team.
  • Identify, map and foster strong relationships with Finnish healthcare decision-makers, authorities, and thought leaders to support medication reimbursement and funding.
  • Work alongside Governmental Affairs to shape policies that improve access to innovative medicines in Finland.

Key Capabilities

  • Proven expertise in project management.
  • In-depth understanding of local and EU access processes and requirements.
  • Capable of distilling complex value & access related matters into clear, impactful communications.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking to understand and address stakeholder’s needs.
  • Ability to identify existing or potential hurdles to achieve access, and independently seek innovative solutions to address the challenges.
  • Skilled in building and sustaining relationships with key external parties.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience from working in the Finnish healthcare system preferably within pharma with specific experience in market access and pricing from a global multinational company or at an HTA body.
  • Excellent understanding of local pricing, reimbursement and recommendation requirements, and an overview of requirements within Western Europe.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team.
  • Fluent English and Finnish.

On-site Protocol
The role is office based. Physical presence at the BMS worksite 50% of the working hours.
